SUMMARY:Confined Space Safety Training
DESCRIPTION:Many people lose their lives each year across the United States while performing operations within a confined space. Nearly all of these fatalities were preventable. Federal & state OSHA have set forth strict confined space entry standards across all industries in an effort to reduce injuries and deaths. Employers are required to implement an effective Confined Space Entry Program when their employee(s) enter confined spaces. One major requirement of an effective confined space program is by providing confined space training for all employees involved in these operations. \nTopics addressed during this Confined Space course include: \n\nIdentifying and properly classifying confined spaces\nPermit-Required confined spaces\, associated hazards and safe work procedures\nAlternative method confined spaces\, associated hazards and safe work procedures\nIdentifying and measuring potential atmospheric hazards\nProper utilization and calibration of atmospheric monitoring equipment\nMethods to safely ventilate confined spaces\nPersonal protective equipment\nDuties of supervisors\, entrants\, and attendants\nRequirements\, procedures & equipment for rescue services and personnel\nSteps necessary to reclassify a permit-required confined space to a non-permit space\nConfined space written program requirements\nPermit requirements & required documentation\nProgram Administrator designation and evaluation\n\n  \nRefresher training may also be needed when: \n\nThere is an incident or a near miss\nConditions change in the workplace which could affect safety\nEmployee has been observed performing tasks in an unsafe manner\nSignificant time has passed\, and the employee’s abilities may require retraining\n\n  \nCourse: Confined Space Awareness\nCourse Duration: 3-4hrs\nCertification Expiration: 3 years \nLUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED \nWhere: In-person at the NECA office in Shoreline \n16001 Aurora Ave N Ste 200\nShoreline\, WA 98133 \n
